Leon Panetta says US Needs “World” OK before any Syria Intervention

Washington Times, Thursday, March 7, 2012

Leon Panetta, Secretary of Defense,  tells A Senate  Committee that the US must obtain “World”  (United Nations)  approval or permission, but not Congressional permmission, and the US must  have a “legal basis”, before any US intervention in Syria.

Jeff Sessions, Senate republican from Alabama response:     “Well, I am almost breathless”.
