San Francisco – 1906

This is a video taken in 1906 from a trolley car heading east on Market Street toward the Ferry Building.  There are people walking across the street dressed in their finest clothes, People on horseback, horse-drawn carriages, and horseless carriages.

The James Flood Building, Built in 1904 on the North East corner of Market and Powell Streets is visible on the left (North) side of Market Street.

One block further, on the left,  is the Original Phelan Building, which was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake.  The current Phelan Building was built in 1907.
