Barney Frank, House Banking Committee Chairman, was pushing the sub-prime loans to Fanny & Freddie too; and then told the media that they were in “great shape”.

Besides having WMD: Sadam was a WMD
July 7 , 2008 ” US Finishes (secret) Removal of 550 Metric tons of “yellow Cake” Uranium from Iraq”
This was certainly a WMD. The UN also found Biological & Chemical WMD’s in Iraq but it was never reported by the media. Remember the thousands of Kurds in the north that you saw on the videos that were gased by Saddam.

John Conyers, Chairman of the House of Represeantaives Judiciary Committee, asks why he sould read the Health Care Bill currently B-4 congress.
This gentleman need to be replaced. he is a disgrace to our country.
This is another 5 star read or “listen”.

The liberal democrats always say, even to this day, if we had not gone into Iraq we would have money for health care.
Fact: The world, including all the democrats in Congress agreed that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction until 2003, when they were (sort of) not found. (See next post – WMD were really found but the main stream media never reported it) We went to Afghanistan & Iraq to insure that the United States is protected from terrorist activities. In this new world, those who want to destroy the USA have many weapons of mass destruction (WMD) options , nuclear, biological and nuclear, that can fit in a suit case. Unlike past wars, the bad guys do not wear uniforms and do not have allegiance to any particular country. The potential destruction that a handful of terrorists could do to our country is enormous and is thousands of times the damage done to our country in past wars.
Liberal democrats just do not get this issue. In World War II, 418,500 were killed (1,700 civilians). Thus far in Iraq & Afghanistan 5,018 US soldiers have unfortunately lost their lives. Well placed WMDs in the US could kill tens of millions.
The point is: In WWII the risk of loss of life on the Continental United States was very low, if not, non existent; and we lost 418,500 souls. Today, the potential risk of loss of life in the Continental United States is in the tens of millions of people and we have lost 5,081 souls in Iraq and Afghanistan to insure that the US population is safe.
Winning the current war in Afghanistan & Iraq is more important than winning WWII and the cost to the United States in loss of life is 82 times less than in WWII.
Unfortunately, it may take a catastrophic terrorist attack or event to wake people up to the fact that fanatic Muslims want us dead.
Back to the main point:
Obama proposed on May 18, 2009, that the members of the US Armed Forces pay for their own health insurance. This was a trial balloon and raised a lot of ire on Capital Hill, so Obama took it off the table. Needless to say, the mere fact that anyone would consider something like this says volumes about their character, values, judgement, common sense and patriotism.

And this guy is the Democratic Senate Majority Leader? Wow! Not for long.
This is a brief but detailed detailed page by page analysis of the 1,000 + page Health Care bill in the House of Representatives.

President Bush, John Snow (Treasury Secretary), Allen Greenspan (Federal Reserve Chairman), and others repetedly warned Congress beginning in 2001 that we were facing huge economic risks if we failed to look into, and regulate Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac. In fact McCain co-authored a bill in May 2006 to do just that. The bill made it out of committee with the democrats voting 100% against, but the Republicans never brought it up on the Senate Floor because they did not have the votes to pass it. Charles Schumer (Democrat NY) and Barney Frank (Democrat Mass) repeatedly defended the practices and the soundness of both institutions. Need proof. See the utube video below.

The health care debate boils down to three questions:
1. Do you think the government can run a national health care program efficiently and cost effectively?
2. Will US seniors stand for a $500 billion reduction in Medicare Benefits?
3. Can the US economy withstand a trillion $ Plus tax increase to pay for “free health insurance for all” including 13 million people living in the US illegally?
THE ANSWER IS NO.
Every current government run progran or organization is or was or will become bankrupt based upon economic forecasts by the Congressional Budget Office (the office that works for Congress) : Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, The VA, Amtrack, the Post Office, etc. as well as many state, county and city governments. They are all out of $ because they spend more money than they take in (which happens to be out taxes).
If the The (VA) Vetrans Administration, the hospital for our War Heros, or the “free” medical service provided to Native American Indans, is any example of what the Obama / Democratic health care plan can become, we are in trouble. Let’s FIX all the current programs listed above and then focus on Fixing the current health care system, with no new taxes, one issue at a time.
The health care fix should be well thought out, not crammed into place. it needs to be fixed one issue at a time, over time, not in a 1000 + page piece of legislation that no one in Congress ever reads. The fix should begin with:
