The “Environmental Movement” is one of the most dangerous facing the Unites States.  The writing below proves that the “Environmentalists and Politicians” don’t give a hoot about the environment.

Environmentalists and progressive politicians not only are making it impossible for the US to become energy self-sufficient, they are 100% responsible for over 80,000 barrels of annual oil pollution off the California coast and over 500,000 barrels of annual oil pollution in the Gulf of Mexico.  This oil pollution is not caused by oil companies.  It is natural seepage.  All that has to be done to reduce this natural seepage  to  zero is to drill more and relieve the pressure.  What does Obama and the Secretary of the Interior do?  They ban all drilling off our coasts.   Thus,  they are directly responsible for  polluting  our coast lines on purpose and  for almost a trillion dollars a year being sent to  foreign oil producing countries.

First posted on August 28, 2009 with the headline Environmentalists and Politicians Do Not Care About the Environment – HERE IS THE PROOF –

Researchers at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI) and the University of California in Santa Barbara (UCSB)  are the first to quantify the amount of natural seepage of oil and gas offshore from Santa Barbara and Ventura County in California.

Oil Seepage

Natural seepage of oil per day off shore from Santa Barbara, California is estimated to be 10,000 gallons or 238 barrels per day or over 87,000 barrels of oil per year.  To put this in perspective,  in the infamous  1969 oil spill in Santa Barbara coastal waters, approximately 80,000 barrels of oil was spilled.  Every 12 months approximately 87,000 barrels spew up from the sea floor along Santa Barbara’s coast line naturally from off shore oil seeps.  Assuming the Santa Barbara natural  seepage of 87,000 barrels of oil per year; approximately  3,475,000 barrels of oil have seeped naturally of the Santa Barbara coast over the past 40 years.  Lack of proper actions to eliminate this natural seepage by environmentalists and politicians for over 40 years (I call this: “pollution on purpose”) is responsible for more than 43 times the “accidental” Santa Barbara oil spill in 1969.

Also, to put this into further perspective, since 1969, off shore California accidental oil spills from producing oil rigs operated by the major oil companies have been only 842 barrels.

To put this in further perspective, more oil has naturally seeped off the coast of Santa Barbara since that  drilling ban went into effect in 1969 than flowed from the BP well that recently blew out in the Gulf of Mexico;  and not one politician or environmentalist show any concern.   It is estimated that natural  seepage in the Gulf of Mexico is 500,000 barrels of oil per year.  This is incredible.

Gas Seepage

Natural offshore seeps of Gas is estimated to be 6,075 tons per year.  The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control estimates greenhouse gas emitted by all vehicles in Santa Barbara County to be 4,800 tons  per year.

Solution

To reduce this natural oil and gas seepage, we need to drill for additional gas and oil to relieve the pressure that drives the natural seepage. This drilling could even be done on shore, requiring no new off shore drilling rigs. The environmental groups and politicians reject this solution because they want to appear to be politically correct; want to maintain their power and oppose anything to do with the oil companies making a dollar.

In 2008, President Bush rescinded the federal ban on off shore oil drilling. On July 20, 2009, Arnold Schwarzenegger propose oil drilling of the outer continental shelf.  Several weeks later the liberal California State legislature voted against this measure.  On September 1, 2009, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote to oppose all Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) oil drilling in their report to the Department of the Interior.

If drilling were allowed by the politicians and the environmentalists, a giant pollution problem would be slowed down and eventually eliminated  for future generations; the State of California would have received billions of $$ in royalties, the US would be less dependent upon foreign oil imports; with supply increasing, prices of oil & natural gas  would trend lower and the citizens of the US and California would be better off.  The State could even use some of the billions in royalties to promote clean solar energy.

The drilling solution is a win-win for everyone, and yet the politicians care more about their getting re-elected and the environmentalists care more about their power than any of them think about benefiting the citizens, the State and the Country.

What are these people missing here?  This is a sad day for the people these two groups are supposed to represent,  us!!!

Moral of the Story  =  Government Get Out of Our lives and let capitalism flourish.  It works every time.

February 17, 2011 Washington DC        (STUNNING TESTIMONY!!)                (See utube audio proof at end of post – courtesy of Mark Levin)

Republican Senator from Alabama questions Timothy Geithner (Secretary of the US Treasury) on Obama’s (and Geithner’s) 2011 Federal Budget.  Geithner, the number one  finance guy in the US Government, testifies that the Obama 2011 budget presented several days ago is Completely UNSUSTAINABLE.

Geithner then asks Mr. Sessions:  “What is the Alternative?”  and  “Do we have the political will to cut it?”

This is incredible:  The Republicans have “alternatives”, and “the will”,  but Obama tells the Republicans that if they change his budget, he will veto any cuts they propose.

Thus, Obama and his Treasury Secretary,  propose a budget last week,  that the Treasury Secretary today says is ‘UNSUSTAINABLE’ ; and Obama insists on Congress passing, or he will veto their changes.

Obama has presented a formula for the financial collapse of the United States of America, his finance guy says it ‘SUCKS”, and Obama will veto any Republican proposals to make it better.     IS IT  –  TIME TO IMPEACH – WITH OUT SENATE APPROVAL –  ?   Impossible??

Do We Have the Right to Protect Ourselves?

Roger Barnett,  owns a 35,000 acre ranch 2 miles from  the Arizona – Mexico border in SE Arizona.  He visits his ranch on Friday afternoon and goes back to his main home in Sierra Vista on Sunday afternoon.  Illegals from Mexico have been crossing his land for years with out his permission.  Mr. Barnett estimates that he has turned over to the border patrol at least  14,000 illegals that he has caught crossing his over and destroying his land over the years.

In 2004,  Roger was working on his land and caught 16 illegals.  He called the border patrol who came to his location, loaded up  the illegal aliens and deported them back to Mexico.

The illegals  subsequently sued Mr. Barnett for $16 million for assault and emotional distress.  Mr. Barnett won that $16 million  case, but the  Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco ruled on February 11, 2011 that Mr. Barnett must pay the illegals $87,000.

Do we have the right to protect ourselves?    The liberal Ninth Circuit court of Appeals  says not in this case.   Soto Mayor, the new Supreme Court Justice doesn’t think we have the right to protect ourself either.      https://america-wake-up.com/2009/08/24/24/

Are we living in America?   This is outrageous…….

January 31,  2011,  Davos, Switzerland

Bill Clinton at the World Economic Forum last week  in Davos , Switzerland, criticizes  the US health care system.  He even  receives an applause.   He says that if you have  the $, you get the best health care, but not  if you are a regular citizen.  He is a liar.  Everyone, the poorest or  the richest in America, have the best care available in the world; and  the poor get it for free;  right now;  not after Obama Care.

The liberal,  progressive STATISTS putting down  the United States  on their overseas jaunts, have to be put in their place and called on their MOUTHING OFF,  every time they get out of  the country.

But,  like we have said:    “‘JOURNALISM IS DEAD IN AMERICA”.

  1. the House of Representatives,
  2. the Senate and
  3. the President.

And Obama thinks  there are 57 States:

Sorry BO,  There are 57 Islamic States.  Are you sure you are not a Muslim?

And Democrat Congressman from Georgia, Hank Johnson, thinks “Guam will tip Over”

Who elects these people?   Is Journalism dead?

Is is any wonder the United States is in the mess it is in?

Monday, December 26, 2010,  The New York Times –

During the stormy debate over his healthcare plan, President Barack Obama promised his program would not “pull the plug on grandma,” and Congress dropped plans for death panels and “end of life” counseling that would encourage aged patients from partaking in costly medical procedures.

Opponents of Obama’s plan, including former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, dubbed such efforts as “death panels” that would encourage euthanasia.

But on Dec. 3, the Obama administration seemingly flouted the will of Congress by issuing a new Medicare regulation that goes into effect on January 1, 2011, detailing “voluntary advance care planning” that is to be included during patients’ annual checkups. The regulation aimed at the aged “may include advance directives to forgo aggressive life-sustaining treatment,”

The New York Times reports:

Earl Blumenauer, D, Oregon, has been urging Obama to cover “end of life planning” as a medicare benefit.  After learning of the administration’s decision, Mr. Blumenauer’s office celebrated “a quiet victory,” but urged supporters not to crow about it.

“While we are very happy with the result, we won’t be shouting it from the rooftops because we aren’t out of the woods yet,” Mr. Blumenauer’s office said in an e-mail in early November to people working with him on the issue. “This regulation could be modified or reversed, especially if Republican leaders try to use this small provision to perpetuate the ‘death panel’ myth.”

Moreover, the e-mail said: “We would ask that you not broadcast this accomplishment out to any of your lists, even if they are ‘supporters’ — e-mails can too easily be forwarded.”

The e-mail continued: “Thus far, it seems that no press or blogs have discovered it, but we will be keeping a close watch and may be calling on you if we need a rapid, targeted response. The longer this goes unnoticed, the better our chances of keeping it.”

In the interview, Mr. Blumenauer said, “Lies can go viral if people use them for political purposes.”

Give Thanks for Free Market Principles

When the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth over 400 years ago,  they thought that in order to survive they  needed to confiscate private property and have EVERYONE work toward the common good.  Thus, the “Commonwealth” .  This proved to be a disaster;.  Property was returned to the individual and “Free Enterprise”  principles became the standard for  PROSPERITY.   The liberals and progressives have been trying to tinker with Capitalism and the Free Market ever since in an effort to re-distribute the wealth to make us all equal,  the “common wealth”.

WHEN WILL THEY LEARN THAT IT WILL NEVER WORK?  WE HAVE 400 YEARS OF OUR OWN HISTORY AND EXAMPLE AFTER EXAMPLE THAT SOCIALISM,  MARXISM and / or COMMUNISM IS NOT GOOD FOR ANY SOCIETY; THE RICH, THE MIDDLE CLASS OR  THE POOR.   IT MAKE  THEM ALL LESS PROSPEROUS.

THE WRITING BELOW CAME FROM THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION, MORNING BELL ON NOVEMBER 25, 2010.

As truly an American holiday as Thanksgiving is, it was not actually made a formal federal holiday until 1941. And it wasn’t even routinely celebrated nationally on the fourth Thursday of every November until after President Abraham Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Address in 1863. Still, the holiday does have a strong basis in our nation’s history—a history that is all too often left untold. As described by Plymouth Colony Governor William Bradford in his diary Of Plymouth Plantation, the first Pilgrim winters in America were tough. The colonists failed to produce adequate food and shelter, and as a result, many did not survive. But eventually the colony rebounded. The Pilgrims did build sufficient homes and did plant enough crops to feed the entire colony. So great was their bounty that they celebrated with a harvest feast that eventually became the Thanksgiving holiday that we celebrate today. But what was the key to the colony’s turnaround? What drove them from poverty to prosperity? The answer may surprise you. When the first Pilgrims founded the Plymouth Colony, all property was taken away from families and transferred to a “comone wealth.” In other words, the Pilgrims tried to do away with private property. The results were disastrous. According to Bradford, the stronger and younger men resented working for other men’s wives and children “without any recompence.” And the women forced to cook and clean for other men saw their uncompensated service as “a kind of slavery.” The system as a whole bred “confusion and discontent” and “retarded much employment that would have been to [the Pilgrims’] benefit and comfort.” Unable to produce their own food, some settlers “became servants to the Indians,” cutting wood and fetching water in exchange for “a capful of corn.” Others tragically perished. It was not until private property rights were restored and every man was allowed to “set corn for his own particular” that prosperity came to the colony. Bradford reported, “This had very good success for it made all hands very industrious. … [M]uch more corn was planted than otherwise would have been. … Women went willingly into the field, and took their little ones with them to set corn.” A profoundly religious man, Bradford saw the hand of God in the Pilgrims’ economic recovery. After witnessing this experiment “amongst godly and sober men,” Bradford concluded that the elimination of private property was incompatible with human nature. He described those who thought they could make men “happy and flourishing” by taking away their property as “vain … as if they were wiser than God.” Today, as families across America gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, let us give thanks to God for the many blessings he has bestowed upon us. But let us also not forget the Pilgrims’ lesson on private property that all too often is forgot in Washington, D.C. Women Aviation Hero

Gladys Ingles was a member of a barnstorming troupe called the 13 Black Cats in the 1920s. Ingles was a wing walker.  In this film, she shows her fearlessness in a classic barnstorming fashion to save an airplane that has lost one of its main wheels.

Ingles is shown with a replacement wheel being strapped to her back and then off she goes as “Up She Goes,” a duet from the era, provides the soundtrack. In the video, Ingles transfers herself from the rescue plane to the one sans main gear tire. She then expertly works herself down to the undercarriage only a few feet from a spinning prop and reattached the wheel.  It’s certainly a feat many mechanics wouldn’t even try on the ground with the engine running and the prop turning.
