Energy Czar Says US Must Decrease Energy Use

Energy Secretary Chu Says U.S. Must Decrease Energy Use

Steven Chu, Obama’s U S Energy Czar, Nobel Laurate, and advocate for the world to paint their roofs and roads white to reduce global warming,  said Wednesday that the U.S. must decrease its energy use to allow developing nations the room to grow, while emphasizing that prosperity doesn’t have to come with a large carbon footprint.

“We believe we have to decrease our use of energy to allow headroom for the developing nations to grow their economies,” Chu said in a speech in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates.

“There is no law of physics that says prosperity is proportional to carbon emissions,” Chu said.

_______________________________________________________________

This guy is a fool.  With this statement he is advocating the decline of the American economic engine which has given the U. S.  the greatest prosperity in the world and the advancement of economies in “developing nations”.  HE IS MORE INTERESTED IN INCREASING JOBS IN THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES THAN IN THE UNITED STATES.  Does he not understand that the increase in domestic jobs requires increasing all forms of  low-cost domestic energy production.

By the way, Mr. Chu,  if you have not read the news lately,  ALL   those that thought they discovered global warming have since spoken out very softly in the past 30 days,  that they used the wrong data and methodology when coming to their conclusion that “global warming” is a world world crisis.  They have told us that GLOBAL WARMING DOES NOT EXIST.    I CALL THIS A  FRAUD………….!

Also, as you must know, the United States has 500% more oil in domestic reserves that exists in the entire middle east.  The current  shortage  of energy , which results in $700 billion flowing from the United States to Muslim oil producers in the Middle East, is caused by the liberal STATISTS in congress and the White House  not allowing private sources to produce domestic energy.

Mr. Chu,  the amount of energy in the world is not a zero sum game.  Let the developing nations produce their own energy,  AND LET THE UNITED STATES  PRODUCE ITS OWN ENERGY.  I THINK THAT IS YOUR JOB…………….??

Obama Bans Fly Over – First Time in 42 Years

After 42 years of annual fly overs at a military graduation  in Nampa Idaho by the U S Airforce,  the tradition is banned by the  under orders from  the Pentagon from the  White House  (OBAMA)   on the grounds that it endorses the  Christian  religion.  Proponents,  are upset and claims it celebrates and supports our military.

Freedom of Speech on Trial in Amsterdam

Mr. Geert Wilders, a member of the Dutch Parliament, has been warning his Country and the world about the rapid growth of Islamic Extremist terrorism throughout the world.  This is exemplified by Mr. Wilders in his speech at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York on September 28, 2008.

This post could be entitled:

  • Geert Wilders on Trial in Holland
  • The Crooked Judges of Amsterdam
  • The Truth on Trial in Amsterdam
  • Is telling the Truth now Against the Law in Amsterdam?

But we Choose to call it:  Freedom of Speech on Trial in Amsterdam

Below is the video from a speech given on February 5, 2010, by Pat Codell, of the BBC in London:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96ZUZ9CPZII

Below is the Text of the video:

This week in an Amsterdam courtroom we saw the beginning of what could be both the trial of the century and the crime of the century.

What an honour for the Netherlands so early in the century.

In the most determined statement of dhimmitude we’ve yet seen in Europe — and that is saying something — the Dutch authorities are pushing ahead with the prosecution of an elected parliamentarian for the crime of embarrassing them with the truth.

There is an ideological fervour about this prosecution that’s almost religious in its intensity, because let’s be clear, this is a heresy trial by any other name. They can’t refute Mr Wilders’ statements, so instead they’ve resorted to the kind of cheap legal stunt we’d expect from the likes of Mugabe to shut their opponent up.

They have accused him of being divisive and inflammatory. And yes, sometimes the truth can be divisive and inflammatory if it has been suppressed for long enough and has become sufficiently taboo, as it clearly has in the Netherlands. Because according to the prosecution it doesn’t even matter that what he says is true; what matters is that it’s illegal.

Well, when the truth is against the law then there’s something seriously wrong with the law, because when the truth is no defense there is no defense, and the law has no anchor, so it will drift wherever the wind of political expedience blows.

And this week it blew straight into a crooked courtroom in Amsterdam where justice will now be made to fight for its life starved of the oxygen of truth that gives it life.

These are desperate tactics from desperate people who have tied themselves up in such knots of relativist guilt; they are incapable of acknowledging the truth, let alone dealing with it. They are like somebody who is prepared to chop off their own hand to avoid being seen scratching their arse in public. What makes it worse it they are clinging to something that doesn’t even exist.

The multicultural bubble burst a long time ago, when Pim Fortuyn was murdered, when Theo van Gogh was murdered, both for the crime of expressing an opinion in what is supposed to be one of the world’s leading liberal democracies. It was then the Dutch people and everybody else in Europe came face to face with multiculturalism, what it really is, and what it really means.

On the surface it sounds like a pleasant word evoking a kind of rainbow society of mutually enriching cultural perspectives. And what could be better than that? But that’s not what it is at all, and that was never the intention.

If they had been honest from the start about what it really is, Islamisation, they know they would never have been allowed to get away with it. But people are beginning to realise that Islam is, in fact, what they are getting, and it is all they are getting. And that is why the Freedom Party is leading the opinion polls in the Netherlands from nowhere in just a few short years.

And it is also why the ruling class is so desperate to destroy Mr Wilders before the next election, because they know his views are popular enough to change things, to put an end to the multicultural lie and to give the Dutch people back their country. And that is why he is facing trial.

Can I say that?

Maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised it has come to this. After all, they do have a history of ganging up on their popular politicians in the Netherlands. Isn’t that how Pim Fortuyn was murdered? Some leftist lunatic took the establishment and the press at their word that he was a public menace for opposing Islamisation, and killed him for it.

Next day all the people who had been vilifying him were suddenly his best friends. They were shocked. How could this have happened? But they all know how it happened. The whole world knows how it happened. And if it hadn’t happened this trial wouldn’t be taking place today because Islam wouldn’t be the problem it is today.

And maybe Amsterdam would still be one of the world’s favourite cities and not the kind of place where gay people are afraid to go out for fear of being beaten up by gangs of Muslim youths.

The Dutch ruling class has shown it is prepared to stoop to anything, even as far as undermining the very cornerstone of western civilisation, freedom of speech, to prop up a rotten ideology that is not only dead but whose corpse is now beginning to smell. And you know that smell. It’s that pungent mix of authoritarianism and cowardice that we have all become depressingly familiar with.

Certainly here in Britain we know all about it. We’ve had twelve years of it. And we haven’t forgotten the shameful events of this time last year when Mr Wilders was refused entry to Britain because our government allowed itself to be bullied and threatened by a handful of Muslim loudmouths, who took it upon themselves to suppress free speech in a free country and were allowed to get away with it. Because otherwise they might have been offended.

Oh, perish the thought. Why the hell shouldn’t Muslims be offended? What are they anyway… babies?

Nobody gives a damn how offended the rest of us are at having our culture squatted by an aggressive religious totalitarianism and being told to shut up about it. And that’s why this trial is not just about the Netherlands. It affects all of us.

The Dutch people have a well-deserved reputation for tolerance and open-mindedness. The very qualities, many would argue, that got them into this mess in the first place. So they’re a bit further down the road of multicultural dhimmitude than most countries, but it is a road we are all travelling in the West. And if we stay on it we will all arrive at the same unhappy crossroads in another courtroom, in another country. It is only a matter of time.

Fear of free speech is a symptom of a profoundly neurotic and dishonest society, which is what we have got on our hands now.

All over the western world it is the same sorry story. We have governments and police forces who cringe before Islam while whittling away our civil liberties because of Islam. We have media that can’t even use the word “Islam” in connection with terrorism, when the two things couldn’t be more intimately connected if they were Siamese twins.

Yet they are quite happy to label Mr Wilders as a far-right politician, in the kind of casual slander that passes for journalism these days, especially at the wretched BBC, who have been too politically correct even to acknowledge that this trial is taking place.

Anyone who isn’t angry and ashamed that it is taking place doesn’t deserve to live in a free society. The trial has already left as dark a stain on Dutch history as McCarthyism left on American history, and it is only going to get worse, because not only have the crooked judges denied Mr Wilders the witnesses he needs to defend himself, they have also made sure the trial will coincide with the election campaign, making it as difficult as possible for him to put his case to the people.

This man is a hero, not a criminal, and it is time the rest of us stood up and said so, loud and clear, because there’s too much at stake to be polite any more, and there’s too much at stake to be afraid any more. This intellectual terrorism has got to stop.

Our birthright is being deliberately sold from under us by people who don’t have the right of ownership. And we are now on the verge of bequeathing our children and grandchildren the kind of society that we wouldn’t want to be born into. It doesn’t get any more immoral or cowardly than that.

You know, in the English language we have an expression: “Dutch Courage”. It’s not really courage at all. It is the kind of courage you get when you’ve had a bit too much alcohol to drink. Well, now there is a new expression: “Dutch Justice”. It’s not really justice at all. It is the kind of justice you get when you’ve overdosed on cultural relativism and your spine has completely disappeared.

Shame on the Netherlands.
Shame on the western media for not raising a howl of protest against this outrageous attack on our basic freedom.

And shame upon shame on the crooked judges of Amsterdam.

Was there something else?

Oh yeah, peace.

Be nice, wouldn’t it?

545 versus 300 million

545 people run this country, and control 300,000,000 of us.   Most of them create our problems and then ask us to vote for them to solve the problems.  We need to clean house.  This is a good read!

545 vs 300,000,000
EVERY  CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS JOURNALIST HAS  SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE.  READ IT  AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT  OUR CURRENT POLITICAL DEBACLE.

thing.  I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.  The  politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what  the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility  to determine  how he votes. It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can  not replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of  incompetence and irresponsibility.  I can’t think of a  single domestic problem  that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.  When you fully  grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal  government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to  exist. Those 545 people, and they  alone, are responsible. This might be funny if it weren’t so darned true.
Be sure to read all the way to the end:

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.  We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What in the hell happened? Can you spell ‘politicians?’
And I still have to ‘press 1’ for English!?

Politicians are the only people in the world  who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever  wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if  all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have  inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget.  The president does.

You and I don’t have the  Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of  Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress  does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You  and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve  Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one  president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human  beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally,  and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague  this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve  Board because that problem was created by the  Congress.  In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty  to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central  bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a  sound reason.. They have no legal authority.  They have no  ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one  cotton-picking

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy  convincing you that what they did is not their fault.   They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What  separates a politician from a normal human being is an  excessive amount of gall..  No normal  human being would have the gall of a  Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating  deficits..  The president can only propose a budget.   He cannot force the Congress to accept  it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the  land, gives sole responsibility to the House of  Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.  Who is the speaker of the House?   Nancy Pelosi.  She is  the leader of the majority party.  She and  fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want.  If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if  they agree  to.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it  unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in  the red ..

If the Army &Marines are in  IRAQ ,  it’s because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not  receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available  to the people, it’s because they want it that way.

There are no  insoluble government problems..

Do not let these 545 people shift  the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can  abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to  regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can  take this power.  Above all, do not let them con you into  the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the  economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing  what they take an oath to do.

They, and they alone, have the  power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the  people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the  gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of  them out of office and clean up their mess!

The Dems Still Don’t Get It

Evan Bayh, retiring Senator from Indiana, Obama and the majority of the liberals in Congress still do not get it.  Bayh is not running for another term in the Senate because of “ever shriller partisanship and the frustrations of grid lock”.  He sees a need for “compromise for the good of the nation”.

Nothing could be farther from the truth.  The system of government our forefathers had in mind is working just fine and the voters are cleansing the congress of those that do not hold their values.   The majority of the Population in  the Country does not want anything to do with  the Obama program or any  one who favors it.  The system is working.  Gridlock and partisanship are good.  The bums are being thrown out.  What has happened in New Jersey, Virginia and Massachusetts and is taking place across the country is called democracy and what our forefathers had in mind when our leaders reject the constitution.   Fact is,  also,  Bayh knows he has no chance of being elected if he did run.

The majority of the people in the country are disgusted with Obama’s:

  • Arrogance
  • Marxist agenda for Re-distribution of income
  • massive government spending money we do not have for wasteful programs
  • higher taxes – on the way –
  • Zero transparency
  • contempt for the profit motive of capitalism
  • contempt of the military as exemplified in the Department of Justice potential prosecution of Navy  Seals who capture terrorists, CIA agents who interrogate them while reading Muslim terrorists their Miranda rights and then provides them with an attorney in a US court room.
  • badmouthing of the US in many speeches in foreign countries
  • complete lack of a meaningful energy program to eliminate our need for foreign oil imports
  • many other policies to numerous to mention here

Mark Lloyd was appointed by Obama to promote “diversity” .  Here he praises what he calls the Venezuelan “democratic” revolution for “social justice”.  Meanwhile, the Chavez administration has taken over hundreds of private companies, banks, radio and tv stations, oil companies and the country’s currency, economy and electricity production is in serious decline.

The Obama Unemployment Map

Obama has his ” Jobs and Economic Conference” today but never invites the US Chamber of Commerce  or any other “Business Organization” in Washington , DC.

When Bush left office, unemployment was 5.75% and the deficit was a little over $400 billion.  Twelve months later, with Obama in charge, the unemployment rate is 10.25% and the deficit is $1,400 billion.

Obama is a Marxist, socialist; Bush is a Capitalist.  To increase employment, Obama wants to spend money we do not have and expand government employment and the Republican opposition want to reduce capital gains, income & payroll taxes to increase private sector investment and thus, subsequently, employment.

Obama’s policies are destroying the American economy.   It looks like it is on purpose.

What do you think?

An Open Letter To President Obama

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

  • You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
  • You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support
  • You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
  • You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
  • You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don’t understand it at its core
  • You scare me because you lack humility and ‘class’, always blaming others
  • You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail
  •  You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the ‘blame America’ crowd and deliver this message abroad
  • You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
  •  You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one
  •  You scare me because you prefer ‘wind mills’ to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
  • You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
  • You scare me because you have begun to use ‘extortion’ tactics against  certain banks and corporations.
  • You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging     you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
  • You scare me because you will not  openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
  • You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
  • You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
  • You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O’Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
  • You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
  • Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

This letter was sent to the NY Times but they never acknowledged  it.

Obama Green Job Stimulus Plan – Cronyism –

You give me money and I will give you the taxpayers money.  This is not Illegal , but it should be……………..

Serious Materials, a window manufacturing company, receives a special tax credit for “green companies” (not to mention free advertising) from President and Vice President of the United States.  This is the only window manufacturing  company to receive tax credits.

As it turns out, Cathy Zoi, is the Weatherization Czar, who overseas the   U S  government “weatherization program” for the US Department of Energy and is married to Ron Roy, the V P of Policy and Production at Serious Windows.

This is selective discrimination, crony capitalism and IS OUTRAGEOUS!

Is the Progressive Base Eroding?

The writing below appeared in the Marin Independent Journal on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in the Opinion Page under “Marin Voice”    Norman Solomon, author of this writing,  is so far to the LEFT, he thinks Obama is a CENTRIST.    Mr. Solomon,  Obama is a Marxist,  Socialist / Communist.   Where were you educated?  Where did you learn these ideas?     I think your future is in Cuba,Venezuela or Russia.  . Castro, Chavez and Putin would love your  input to help their countries prosper.

Our Comments to this writing appear at the end of the article.

Marin Voice: Is the progressive base eroding?

By Norman Solomon

Posted: 02/02/2010 09:37:06 AM PST

WHEN A LARGE crowd gathered at the Sausalito Cruising Club to watch the inauguration of Barack Obama, euphoria was in the air.  Many of us there had worked hard to make the historic moment possible. On that bright winter morning, we were proud, excited and hopeful. Fifty-four weeks later, the mood is very different.

Last week’s State of the Union speech added to growing worries about a grim pattern: White House concessions go to hard-right Republican leaders who rarely give the slightest ground.    I want to remind progressives that Barack Obama never promised us a rose garden. While his oratory could soar, his inclinations as a politician have always been centrist.

Years ago, Obama gave us ample warning in his book “The Audacity of Hope,” which included this blunt caveat: “I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views.”

A week before he won the presidential election, I noted: “Progressives are mostly on board with the Obama campaign, even though – on paper, with his name removed – few of his positions deserve the ‘progressive’ label. We shouldn’t deceive ourselves into seeing Obama as someone he’s not.   “Yet an Obama presidency offers the possibilities that persistent organizing and coalition-building at the grassroots could be effective at moving national policy in a progressive direction.”

Those possibilities remain. There’s little point in blaming President Obama. It’s up to progressive-minded people to push back against ominous trends of the administration’s first year.

White House policies are nowhere near what’s needed to overcome corporate power, drastically reduce carbon emissions, lower unemployment through federal jobs programs, massively repair the nation’s crumbling infrastructure, fully support public education – preschool through college – and devote major resources to ensuring health care as a human right.

Such programs would require a reduction in military spending. Yet the Obama administration – while proposing a freeze on the discretionary domestic budget – has gone on a Pentagon shopping spree and is swiftly escalating U.S. troop levels in Afghanistan.

This approach is exactly what Martin Luther King Jr. challenged in his speeches about “the madness of militarism.” He warned: “A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”

Close to home, such skewed priorities are hitting us hard. Since 2001, the latest figures show, taxpayers in Marin County have sent the IRS a total of $1.5 billion to directly pay for war in Iraq and Afghanistan – enough money to provide complete health care to more than half a million people for an entire year.

If progressives in Marin and around the country sometimes erred in placing candidate Obama on an overly elevated pedestal, a few are now going to the opposite extreme. In reality, he is not now – nor has he ever been – a savior or a demon.  It’s up to those of us who have a progressive vision to move it forward.

Erosion of the Democratic Party’s progressive base could lead to electoral catastrophe in November and beyond. We can’t let that happen.   Along with vocal pressure from grassroots progressives, what’s needed is bold Democratic leadership – now in short supply from Washington to Sacramento. Democrats in elected positions should be willing and able to challenge the party’s hierarchy over its tepid appease-the-right policies.

Unless that happens, many activists who propelled Obama into the Oval Office will become demoralized instead of energized. ____________________________________________________

Our comments to this writing are as follows:

Mr. Solomon, you will always have your Democratic Party progressive base; and yes, the Democratic Party is facing, and will experience “electorial catastrophe in November and beyond”, and there is very little you or anyone else can do about it.   Thank God the majority of Americans have realized that Obama and the progressive policies are not in the best interests of America & are taking measures to get rid of him and his followers, beginning with the democratic Governors of Virginia & New Jersey and the  Senator from Massachusetts.  The reasons for the demise of Obama and the ‘progressive left statists’ are many and some are described below:

1.      Obama has asked us to: “Judge him by the people he surrounds himself with.”  Obama’s mentors and those he surrounds himself with are Marxists.  Thus, Obama is a Marxist.  The majority of Americas are not in favor of Marxist principles
